June Bellamy, the name under which she has chosen to live and work, was born in Burma of an Australian father, Herbert Bellamy, and The Linbin Princess Ma Lat, direct descendent of the last Kings of Burma, the birthright to her Burmese name Yadana Nat Mai.
After a period of diplomatic life lived in many Capitals of the world, arriving in Italy to settle, knew that to delve into the riches of Italian regional cooking was a fundamental step towards belonging to and being a part of her adopted country.
When Studio June Bellamy was created in Florence Italy, it was done so, as home to the art of International Cooking. The history of spices, recipes for steamed buns and coconut rice were to be found alongside those of Italian cheeses, olive oil and pasta.
Learning and teaching are but two sides of the same coin, both giving pleasure, a sense of discovery and satisfaction. June has in fact, spent twenty years discovering and collecting on that long trail of the evolution of these rich and fascinating traditions
At her Studio in the heart of Florence, courses or single lessons are built around individual or group requirements, and are given in both Italian and English.
